L’aurora è un istante inafferrabile di una metamorfosi. Non appartiene né al giorno né alla notte ed è proprio in questo suo essere indefinita che ci preannuncia una rinascita. La mostra, portandociattraverso un susseguirsi di queste rinascite, traghetta il visitatore in una oscillante esperienza tra discesa e ascesa. Cinque artisti, come demiurghi, fanno venire alla luce una pluralità di mondi. Le opere, sprigionando la propria forza simbolica, aspirano a produrre una trasformazione nel visitatore. Permettendogli di sbirciare dietro il velo della realtà, raccontano nel loro insiemei passi di una traversata mitologica.
L’installazione Spring/Horizon di James Hillman sfrutta la compressione spaziale e il tamburellare ancestrale dell’acqua per guidarci verso una iniziazione, spingendoci in un mondo interiore. Esplora territori fra l’astratto e il simbolico costruendo un portale che esercita forza centripeta sul visitatore spingendolo dentro di sé, obbligandolo all’attenzione e al coraggio.
Un mare acido, giallo avvolge Declinazione del Liminali di Eugenio Carrabba. Un brodo primordiale in cui un interminabile istante si è cristallizzato. Forme, oggetti e infinite direzioni sono sospese, occupando il vuoto masenza riuscire ad impossessarsene. Una radura in cui il concreto e l’intangibile convivono ancora, prima che qualsiasi scelta venga fatta.
Out of Darkness è la sala pittorica di Giulia Mangoni, in cui si viene travolti da una molteplicità opprimente di forme di vita, in cui infinite individualità ci sussurrano una unità. Un elaborato processo di stratificazioni dà origine a ripetuti smembramenti e rinascite della forma. Una serie di morfologie e archetipi si manifestano sulla superficie dell’inconscio. Attraverso tentativi, errori eforme dominanti, si inizia il racconto delle infinite pluralità di forme di vita che ci spogliano della nostra individualità.
Lucrezia de Fazio racconta la vita che diventa umana. Affondando le radici nella trasformazione della materia e nella relazione tra organico e inorganico, forme plastiche e aspetti più intangibili della luce si incontrano per dare vita ad una nuova forma, essenziale e conflittuale. Suoni e immagini inafferrabili che ci suggeriscono la carnalità e la perversione del nostro essere effimero.
Nell’ultima ascesa ci avviciniamo alle opere di Gianfranco Toso: un’ambizione muta, ultraterrena e assoluta. Forme di misura della terra e, attraverso lo strumento di una geometria intuitiva, di contemplazione del trascendentale. Non immediatamente percepibili ai sensi se non mediante un processo di conoscenza interiore, tali forme abitano lo spazio, trasformandolo in una officina platonica in cui si forgiano immagini di un mondo ideale.
Ognuno di questi artisti fa emergere, con un gesto intimo e titanico, un istante di presente in cui storie personali di vita passate e future collassano per farsi universali. Aurore è un susseguirsi di opere in grado di cristallizzare l’istante in cui ombre indefinite mutano in figure, in cui un portale si apre e attraverso cuici innalziamo al di sopra dello spirito di gravità. Questo costante movimento sia fisico che emotivo risveglia alcuni meccanismi interiori. Nuovi paradigmi di una nuova mitologia in cui il visitatore può immergersi.

Aurora (Aurorae) is an elusive instant of metamorphosis. It is a moment that does not belong to the day nor to the night: a rebirth is thus anticipated through its undefined essence.
The exhibition Aurore leads us through a succession of these awakenings, conducting the visitor into an experience that oscillates between ascents and descents.
For the first time, entirely opened to the public is The Popping Club in Via Baccina 84 – the place where five artists, like demiurges, bring to light a plurality of worlds.
The morphing physical space, the light, audio and visual installations, the sculptures and the paintings, together emanate their symbolic strength and provoke a transformation within the visitor.
If each of these works were to be a glimpse behind the veil of reality, all together they become the steps of a mythological journey.
Spring / Horizon: James Hillman’s installation; with a space compressing structure and the ancestral sound of water drumming, guide us into a phase of initiation, pushing us into an inner world. A sun-yellow light attracts us into Declinazione del Liminale by Eugenio Carabba. Here, around us is a series of living sculptures, suspended before time in a space dominated by void, the visitor is placed before a series of choices. One of these is Giulia Mangoni’s pictorial room, where we are overwhelmed by an oppressive multiplicity of forms of life.
The infinite singularities evoke a sense of unity. With symbols and shapes left behind our shoulders, we head towards a more human, physical world.
Lucrezia de Fazios work speaks through the use of remote sounds and images that suggest the carnality and perversion of our ephemeral being.
In the last ascent, we approach the works of Gianfranco Toso, his is a mute ambition; absolute and unearthly. All that is left to do here is to face again the infinite cycle of this uncertain limbo.
With an intimate and titanic gesture, each of these artists, tells a moment in which personal stories of past and future collapse, becoming universal.
Aurore is a succession of works that crystallises the instant in which indefinite shadows mutate in figures. Darkness, light, colours and shapes of the aurorae are the recurring symbols present within this journey.
It is through these symbols that we unveil the opening of a portal through which we elevate above the spirit of gravity. The constant physical and emotional movement awakens internal mechanisms, new paradigms of a new mythology in which the visitor can immerse himself into.
James Hillman – Spring / Horizon (2017)
A cyclical process of earthly stratification is an exploration of territories between the abstract and the symbolic. In this site-specific installation, Hillman seeks to solidify the thin line separating the underground world with the ethereal one: a portal that exerts a centripetal force on the visitor by pushing him towards his inner-self, forcing the need for attention and courage.
Eugenio Carabba – Declarations of the Liminal (2017)
Immersed in an acid-yellow timeless sea are a composition of sculptures and site-specific interventions. A primordial broth in which an endless instant is delicately crystallised.
Shapes, objects, and infinite directions occupy the void without ever seizing it.
A space where the concrete and the intangible live together in a time preceding the decision.
Giulia Mangoni – Out of Darkness (2017)
A swift but elaborated stratification process gives birth to repeated dissemble and assemble of diverse shapes and forms.
A series of morphologies and archetypes appear on the surface of the unconscious.
The dominant species of these experiments arise through attempts and layers, as the narration of the infinite pluralities of the forms that undermines our individuality begins.
Lucrezia De Fazio – When It’s Three in the Morning (2017)

The roots of Lucrezias work cling to the transformation and relationship of matter both organic and inorganic.
A tessellation of plastic shapes all the way to the most intangible aspects of light, give birth to a new, essential and conflicting form.

Gianfrancos’ works occupy the highest and brightest spaces of the exhibition space.
These works are the measurements of the earth, through the use of an intuitive geometry, they become a contemplation of the transcendental.
Such forms inhabit the space, transforming it into a Platonic workshop where images of an ideal world are forged.
